WARNING....
He’ll take your gear under vague promises, tack on surprise fees, and take months—or longer—to return it. Excuses are endless, communication is almost nonexistent, and your radio might end up being part of his “learning-on-my-dime” experiment. Send at your own risk.

I thought Gregg was a good tech.
ReplyDeleteI sent Gregg my CP2000, it was suppose to be a surprise for my dad. Gregg took over a year to repair it and sadly my dad passed away from pancreatic cancer before I got the radio back.
ReplyDeleteDon't trust this guy Gregg, he said he repaired my radio, but when I got it back after paying $386 the radio didn't work.
ReplyDeleteGregg always has an excuse—too sick to work, shoveling snow, or “too hot” outside—apparently radios only get fixed on perfect days.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Gregg, he’s the ultimate authority on radio repair—he must have been sent straight from the heavens for this hobby
ReplyDeleteGregg is not respected in the tech community. Between his constant excuses, overblown claims about his own skills, and tendency to overcharge or stall on repairs, many hobbyists and professionals avoid dealing with him. His reputation for drama and ego far outweighs any trust in his abilities.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it’s a shame because some people think he’s top-tier, but the reputation among experienced techs tells the real story. Consistency and professionalism matter far more than ego.
DeleteI was thinking about sending him my Golden Eagle Mark 3, but don't think I will now.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you after reading all this.
DeleteI've heard good things about Gregg, but now I have my reservations.
ReplyDeleteI’ve been checking around with a few techs on Facebook about getting my Tram D201 repaired. Funny how everyone has nothing but praise for each other—except Gregg Howe. His name didn’t exactly come up in glowing terms.
ReplyDeleteJust ask Matt B about Gregg.
DeleteGregg claims he has to fix Matt B's work and that Matt B isn't good fixing Tram radios.
DeleteSounds like Gregg wanted to keep someone's radio!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately shipping was delayed greatly due to no internet services on his end. I canceled the order ultimately because I seen how many videos he posted on his YouTube channel in the same timeframe he had no internet, or post office. Strangely enough the post office had no internet so he could not ship it. However, he had an internet and was able to post a lot of videos. Other sources elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteSounds like he's a eBay scammer too!
